Elysium Decorative Figurine

Elysium

Elysium is a decorative figurine that shows a hummingbird drinking nectar from a flower. The figurine is made of silver and set with 1848 lab-grown gemstones. Elysium consists of 31 unique parts and measures 116 mm by 116 mm by 165 mm. A computerised workflow, three-dimensional printing and a patented direct casting method were used to form a hollow shell with a metal thickness of 0.35 mm. The bird meets the stem at a single point, so the centre of mass was calculated with care. The stem shows zones of destruction with a black finish, recalling the fragile balance of nature.

Elysium Decorative Figurine by Roman Zelenin was featured as an outstanding example of fashion design by the A' Design Award. Elysium Decorative Figurine earned the Bronze A' Design Award in Jewelry Design in 2021. The A' Jewelry Design Award is an international, juried, academic and meritocratic design competition which honors excellent design of rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, pendants, cufflinks, anklets and more.
