Green Angel
Green Angel is a ring inspired by the wings of angels, which appear in many cultures as symbols of protection, power and peace. The wings are formed from two natural leaves of the angel wing begonia plant. Each leaf is coated layer by layer with fine silver, then dried and fired in an oven. The base is made of 18 karat gold, which was melted, rolled, sawn and soldered by hand. The ring measures 40 by 30 by 20 millimeters, and the wings rest across the surface of the hand. Placed inside a clear box, Green Angel can also serve as a decorative object.
Green Angel Ring by Saedeh Sorouri was featured as a creative illustration of fashion design by the A' Design Award & Competition. Green Angel Ring received the Bronze A' Design Award in Jewelry Design in 2022. The A' Jewelry Design Award is a juried, academic and highly prestigious design award that celebrates excellent design of rings, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, brooches, pendants, cufflinks, anklets and more.
