The yacht was designed for a very experienced owner, who wants to go with the yacht to every possible place on earth. This means also far north, up to Alaska. Therefore a lot of emphasis has been taken in order that the yacht will be sailed also in areas with low temperatures, even below zero. The yacht features a rigid sprayhood for more protection in the cockpit when sailing, and a hybrid propulsion system has been developed for the yacht, firstly to reduce emission and secondly that the yacht can enter also into environmentally protected areas.
75ft Explorer Sailing Yacht by Harry Miesbauer has been highlighted as a creative illustration of industrial design by the A' Design Award. 75ft Explorer Sailing Yacht was awarded the Iron A' Design Award in Yacht and Marine Vessels Design in 2023. The A' Yacht and Marine Vessels Design Award is a highly prestigious international design competition which honors superior design of sailboats, motor yachts, catamarans, trimarans, superyachts, explorer yachts, sportfishing yachts, luxury houseboats and more.
